The Cross

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest". (Matthew 11:28 N.I.V)

God created us for fellowship with Him. We are designed to walk with Him and delight in His ways. However, since the fall of Adam and Eve, we resist Him due to our sinful nature and the lure of earthly passions. The word of the Lord tells us that all human beings are sinners and have fallen short of the Glory of God."For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard." Romans 3: 23 N.L.T)

Due to His mercy and grace, God offers heaven and eternal life to everyone who turns to Him. He seeks each one of us to come to Him through salvation in His son Jesus Christ who died on the cross to redeem our sins. Jesus is the only way to God. "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6 N.I.V)

Seeking God’s face is to seek to know his character, and to receive his guidance. It is to learn what pleases him so that we can do his will. It is to seek his purpose for our individual lives.  If we seek  God “with all our heart” , that is, if we humble ourselves before him, by praying, repenting, and seeking forgiveness for our sins, he will hear us.  In Jeremiah 29:13 God promises, “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart".

Seeking God’s face continually means a deeper relationship with God; a life where you realize your limitation as a human being and rely fully on God’s strength. " ...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." (Isaiah 40:31 N.I.V) It is a blessed life full of his peace that knows no understanding. "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus".( Philippians 4:7 N.I.V)

If you would like to restore a close loving relationship with God, invite Him into your life today through the prayer below:

Prayer

“Dear Lord, I repent my sins and call upon the power of Jesus to cleanse me and make me fit to walk with you. I pray for your guidance and control of my life.

Fill me with your Holy Spirit to strengthen and keep me growing in faith. I ask this through Jesus Christ our Savior.

Amen

If you have prayed this prayer, you are a born again Christian. You need to find a good church that is near you where you can fellowship with other Christians and mature in your faith.

God says, “Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut” (Revelation 3:8 N.I.V)

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26 (N.I.V).
