On cloud nine

Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude. - Denis Waitley

1. Let go of trying to control people. The only thing that we can truly control is our own attitude and reactions.

2. Let go of trying to please everyone. Aim to do right, aiming to please everybody is a snare.

3. Let go of the sense of entitlement. Everyone gets their share of joys and sorrows; nobody is less or more deserving.

4. Let go of resentment. Others walk in different shoes and you may never understand the reason for their behavior.

5. Let go of guilt.  Forgive yourself and make amends.

6. Let go of pride. Apologize and forgive, and create room for authentic connection.

7. Let go of perfectionism. Do not squander opportunities in this impossible quest.

8. Let go of negativity. Look at what’s good and be grateful.

9. Let go of negative people. Be aware of those who always see the bad side and avoid their influence.

10. Let go of the busyness. Work smart. Being busier does not necessarily lead to higher achievement.

11. Let go of the attachment to money. Evaluate the trade off of earning more and more versus other life pursuits.

12. Let go of the fear of failure. Failure does not mean we are broken. It simply means we are courageous to dare!

13. Let go of the fear of abandonment. We all crave for connection but when fear of abandonment starts to rule our lives we make very irrational choices.

14. Let go of comparison. We usually only get to see the highlights reel of other people’s lives.

15. Let go of expectations.  People will not necessarily behave the way you expect, and situations are unpredictable. Work with what is.

16. Let go of yesterday and tomorrow. Savor the present. Refuse to be saddled by the baggage of the past or fear of the future. Reevaluate your beliefs and seek the real truth.

Delight yourself also in the LORD: and he shall give you the desires of your heart. - Psalms 37:4
