Isn't it a wonderful thing to be heard? When someone says to you "I hear you" - you know what they mean. They mean more than just hearing the words coming out of your mouth. They mean hearing your heart, your pain, your disappointment, or your concern - whatever it is that you are really trying to communicate. What they are saying is, "I really want to know and understand you." Don't you feel honored and respected just to know you are being heard and known in this way? When we approach God's Word, do we give Him the same kind of honor and respect, or are we always wanting God to come down to our level and explain Himself to us if he expects to avoid an argument? What kind of respect is that?
