with Chef Gerald To make a Pizza you need a base, a tomato sauce to coat the base, cheese and other toppings of your choice. HAM & MUSHROOM PIZZA.
Ingredients
Pizza base: 500g plain flour, 4 tablespoon Olive oil, 1 tablespoon salt, 300 ml lukewarm water, 2 teaspoons dried yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar.
Tomato Sauce: I onion, 3 table spoons olive Oil, 1 clove garlic, omato paste, 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
Toppings: Mozzarella cheese, 4 rashers of ham, small tin of mushrooms, 3 whole tomatoes Method.
1. Blend the ingredients together in a large bowl and knead together into a fine dough. 2. Cover dough to rise at temperature for one hour. 3. The dough is enough for the bases. 4. Roll out down into a round base which can be used to line ‘all’ shallow baking pan. 5. Blend the ingredient for the tomato sauce. 6. Grate the cheese and cut the ham and the mushroom in to small pieces. 7. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees C. 8. Line baking tin with the base 9.Add the tomato sauce on top. Spread thinly. 10 Layer the cheese, mushrooms and ham and top up with tomato slices. 11. Bake on high until bottom of pizza is browned and cheese has melted .
Tips
You can buy pizza bases and pizza sauce ready made at the larger supermarkets. 12. Cut into wedges using a pizza cutter or knife and serve.
